Wildfires can’t do any long term damage!

About one in five people who have been infected with COVID-19 experience health problems long after the initial ‘recovery’. Long COVID,  involves a variety of new, returning or ongoing symptoms that people experience more than four weeks after getting COVID-19. In some people, post-COVID-19 syndrome lasts months or years or causes disability. Many who were infected early in the pandemic still have problems three years later. It is not clear if the symptoms will ever go away.

The most commonly reported symptoms of post-COVID-19 syndrome include:

  • Fatigue
  • Symptoms that get worse after physical or mental effort
  • Fever
  • Lung (respiratory) symptoms, including difficulty breathing or shortness of breath and cough

Other possible symptoms include:

  • Neurological symptoms or mental health conditions, including difficulty thinking or concentrating, headache, sleep problems, dizziness when you stand, pins-and-needles feeling, loss of smell or taste, and depression or anxiety
  • Joint or muscle pain
  • Heart symptoms or conditions, including chest pain and fast or pounding heartbeat
  • Digestive symptoms, including diarrhea and stomach pain
  • Blood clots and blood vessel (vascular) issues, including a blood clot that travels to the lungs from deep veins in the legs and blocks blood flow to the lungs (pulmonary embolism)
  • Other symptoms, such as a rash and changes in the menstrual cycle

Keep in mind that it can be hard to tell if you are having symptoms due to COVID-19 or another cause, such as a preexisting medical condition.

A 26 year old British Olympic athlete rowing team was exercising 35 your a week post COVID. She experienced a mild case of the disease, so she felt able to make a quick return to training. The intense exercise may have exacerbated the virus, and she developed long COVID symptoms that forced her off the Olympic team. Getting out of bed became the burden she had to overcome each day. That became her exercise goal for the day. Intense fatigue only allows her to carry out a few hours of normal activity per day.

A high jumper for the United States was hoping to compete in the Tokyo Olympics. A bad case of Covid-19 derailed her chances and she failed to qualify.

CDC Muzzled

The New York Times recently published an article with the headline: “We were helpless.” It wasn’t news that the 45th president has muzzled The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) but there were new insights into the mood in the agency as their research and advice was ignored and silenced. The article is supported by interviews with 11 current and former agency employees, as well as a review of text messages and other documents. Which showed the agency under the thumb of the former president.

In February 2020, Dr. Nancy Messonnier, a senior CDC official, warned Americans to prepare for a pandemic. When The former president learned of the announcement he was furious and severely reprimanded her. With her silenced the entire agency was put under political pressure to downplay the pandemic. Vice President Mike Pence, with no epidemiology experience was put in charge of the coronavirus task force. It was his job to silence and spin communications from the CDC.

CDC officers were sent to airports around the country to screen passengers flying into the United States from China. They were told however that they could not wear medical masks because the politicians did not want to alarm the general public. Passengers from China were wearing masks but the medical professionals were forced to go mask less. It soon became clear that the virus was spreading not just from people who showed visible symptoms, but also asymptotically.  Just screening for visible symptoms was pointless. The public needed to be warned but the CDC was silenced.

Privately, CDC  officers were calling friends and family asking them to cancel weddings and planned vacations, to stay home, and to wear masks and even goggles when they venturing outside. The general public was not told. Those who shared their thoughts on social media were told to stop or be fired.

A month later the CDC director finally announced the asymptomatic spread of the virus. Finally after two months, the white house begrudgingly advised the public to wear masks. Had the CDC been allowed to advise the public when they wanted, 36,000 lives could have been saved. Considering the ongoing mass hypnosis and denial that number is a drop in the bucket in the ever escalating preventable COVID death toll.

So is the CDC being muzzled in 2023? It would appear so.

What the flock are they doing?

Most sheep are easily controlled and manipulated. The rebel black sheep cares about the herd. The United States has decided mass infection is the cheapest cost of action. If you wanted to thin the herd by several million people then convincing the population that a deadly virus is “mild” would do the trick.

Propaganda is now in the works to make those who wear masks seem like outliers. The mayor of NYC is asking store owners to insist that people entering their stores must remove their mask. It might be far easier to ask them to show their drivers license, but the point is to discourage the population from protecting themselves from an airborne virus that has killed millions of Americans and continues to do so.  The unintelligent are scapegoating the intelligent.

Floriduh Governor Ron DeathSantis wrote an order, that directed the state’s health and education departments to issue rules preventing the implementation of school mask mandates in an effort to “protect parents’ freedom to choose whether their children wear masks.”

Mandatory masking in schools reduced the spread of the virus. Some masks are better than others. Cloth masks and the flimsy blue medical masks are not as effective as N-95 masks. By the time quality N95 masks were being advised, masks had already become a political flash point.

CDC released three studies in the Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report that highlighted the importance of using layered prevention strategies including universal masking to stop the spread and minimize disruptions to school operations for safe in-person education. These studies found that school districts without a universal masking policy in place were more likely to have COVID-19 outbreaks.

There are no longer any states requiring people generally to wear masks in public places. Several states still mandate masking for most people in certain high-risk settings, including health care and long-term care facilities. The federal government’s nationwide mask order for public transit, commercial flights and transportation hubs such as airports and train stations was struck down by a federal judge in April 2022. The U.S. Transportation Security Administration has stopped enforcing the mandate and major U.S. airlines made face-covering optional on domestic flights.

U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) continues to recommend that people ages 2 and older wear masks while on public transportation and at transportation hubs.

Though president Joe Biden has decided to promote, “the pandemic is over” since he is eyeing a re-election run. No level of fantasy or denial can dispute the fact that several thousand people continue to die every week inn America due to COVID-19.  The American workforce is also continuing to thin as more and more people are crippled by long COVID.

People who are going about life unmasked as if the year were 2018 are fearful of those who wear masks since it reminds them that the pandemic is not over. Seeing someone in a mask can actually make them angry.

Fetal Brain Hemorrhages

COVID-19 infection may induce fetal brain hemorrhages, scientists from King’s College in London warn. There’s evidence of the virus in fetal brain tissue in instances of the pregnant mother passing the infection to their children.

The research team studied 661 human fetal tissue samples collected between July 2020 and April 2022, observing hemorrhages in 26 of them. COVID-19 was present in all of the tissue samples with evidence of hemorrhaging. All the samples were collected from electively terminated pregnancies.

Researchers highlighted signs of a reduction in blood vessel integrity and an increase in immune cells infiltrating the brain as being linked to tissue damage. This may be a direct result of the COVID-19 infection or an indirect result of the mother’s immune response.

The number of women who died in child birth surged 40% during childbirth. Those deaths were preventable. The study highlights the need for pregnant women to be vaccinated against COVID-19, thus avoiding complications for both mother and baby.

COVID Face Blindness

Medical Press reported that COVID-19 can cause ‘face blindness‘ and navigational problems according to a new Dartmouth study in Cortex. The researchers worked with Annie, a 28-year-old customer service representative and part-time portrait artist, who was diagnosed with COVID-19 in March 2020 and suffered a symptom relapse two months later. Shortly after the relapse, Annie noticed difficulty with face recognition and navigation.

Annie began having trouble recognizing her family. When her father called out to her, she thought his voice was coming out of a stranger’s face. She now relies on voices to recognize friends and loved ones. She began having difficulty navigating the grocery story and could not find her parked car.

She was presented photos of 60 celebrities and could identify just 29% of them. Most people can identify 84% of the celebrity faces. Granted Tom Hanks could resemble Mr. Rogers or the serial rapist who lives down the street and who needs to be able to identify Tilde Swinton anyway? She isn’t actually a celebrity.

She was given the Cambridge Face Memory test in which she was shown photos of 6 men. She was then asked to discriminated between those men and photos of other strangers. Annie could identify the faces 56% of the time while most people get 80% correct.

Her test scores in face detection, face identity perception, and object recognition were normal, indicating respectively, that Annie’s problems with faces are due to face memory deficits and are not a more generalized impairment.

Annie had flawless test scores in scene processing. When she was shown a set of landscapes and was then shown them again with a new set, she made no errors in identifying the landscapes she had been previously shown.

Annie also did really well in voice recognition tests in comparison to the controls, so the researchers think that her problems with face processing are mostly likely due to a deficit within the visual system.

There may be a lot of other people who have quite severe and selective deficits following COVID. To test this theory researchers polled 54 individuals who had long COVID with symptoms for 12 weeks or more; and 32 persons who had reported that they had fully recovered from COVID-19. A broad majority of people in the long COVID group reported noticeable difficulties doing things that they were able to do before contracting COVID-19. One of the challenges that many respondents reported was a difficulty with visualizing family and friends.

Bird Flu

A research team published a study in One Health that analyzed over 70,000 records related to bird flu (H5N1) from 1970 to 2016. The researchers concluded that bird flu might be the source of a new pandemic strain. Bird flu could become zoonotic, that is, transfer from animal to human.

The virus has made the  jump from birds to mammals. Professor Michael Ward from the Sydney School of Veterinary Science, said, “It’s just a numbers game. Viruses jumping species is not a rare event, so it’s likely a virus will eventually make that final jump to humans.”

H5N1 has infected almost 900 people since 2003 with a death rate just shy of 52.5 percent, according to the World Health Organization. Since January 2022 in the United States, outbreaks of a branch of H5N1 known as 2.3.4.4b have affected more than 58 million fowl, resulting in the deaths or culling of most. Farms that raise poultry are reluctant to report cases since it would result in devastating financial losses.

The Philadelphia Enquirer reported that Bird Flu is hitting Pennsylvania harder than any other state. In the last 30 days, more than 215,000 birds in Pennsylvania have been affected by avian flu, meaning they are raised on farms or in backyards where the disease has been confirmed.

In the U.S., it has recently been detected in wild birds in every state, as well as in commercial poultry operations or backyard flocks in 47 states. Since the beginning of last year, tens of millions of chickens have died of the virus or been killed to stop outbreaks from spreading. The death rate among birds affected is over 50%. The bird flu has resulted is rising egg prices.

Bird Flu had made the jump to mammals. In June and July 2023, more than 150 dead or ailing seals washed ashore in Maine with the deadly virus. It is likely that wild birds introduced the virus to seals. Bird flu has also spread to minks and the virus seems to be spreading from mammal to mammal. In Vancouver, Canada skunks are being found infected with bird flu.

Globally, nearly 870 human infections and 457 deaths have been reported to the World Health Organization in 20 countries. But the pace has slowed and there have been about 170 infections and 50 deaths in the last seven years. In the vast majority of cases, the infected people got it directly from infected birds. Human to human transmission of the virus has not yet been confirmed.

Should an outbreak happen it is clear that the human race is not prepared. COVID-19 has a mortality rate of just 1% which resulted in over 6 million of deaths worldwide. Imagine an outbreak where the mortality rate jumps from 1% to over 50%. Those numbers are hard to imagine.

Fire breaks are terrible they are worse than the wildfire!

All attempts to slow the spread of COVID-19 have been abandoned. States across the country have lifted either indoor or school mask mandates. Hospitalization rates in the United States do continue to slowly creep downwards but if you compare how many are sick with COVID in the USA there are so many more than in any other country.

As of March 10, 2023 travelers from China will no longer need a pre-flight COVID test before they arrive. The testing requirement began in January of 2023 when there was a huge surge in cases in China after they abandoned the ‘zero COVID’ policy.

The United States Public Health Emergency will end on May 11, 2023 despite a high plateau of about 2000 deaths a week due to COVID-19. This is the new norm moving forward. People will hopefully have an insurance plan that covers vaccinations. Otherwise it is a $300 out of pocket expense. Somehow I suspect even fewer people will want to get vaccinated. Only about 16% of Americans have gotten a booster dose.

Parents had their children at home when the entire country shut down early in the pandemic. It is not surprising that parents would say and do anything to get rid of their children, parents needed to get back to work. The economy trumped public health. Claims rose that the isolation would cause permanent damage to their children’s mental health. No thought was given to how repeated infections with COVID-19 would shorten their child’s quality of life and life expectancy.

COVID is mild for many children, but the long term effects are just now being discovered. 1 in 4 children are developing long COVID symptoms like, headaches or difficulty concentrating, fatigue, insomnia, joint pain, respiratory issues, skin rashes and heart palpitations, which can remain months after the infection has passed. Children who are asymptomatic or mildly infected can develop persistent problems. It would seem to make sense that living a life with these debilitating symptoms would also affect a child’s mental health.

The emergence of the Omicron variant, which is more infectious than previous forms of Covid-19, and the new sub-variant XBB.1.5, has now led to a much higher proportion of children becoming infected with the virus. Despite this school masking has been abandoned and there is little attempt to install HEPA filters in classrooms to remove airborne virus from classrooms. Children’s immune systems do not develop adaptive memory against the next COVID infection, The result is repeated infections and immune systems being destroyed.

Beauty

The Daily Mail ran this inane headline: “Unattractive people are more likely to keep wearing masks in the post-COVID era study suggests.” The study was published in Frontiers in Psychology. The study theorized that narcissists who consider themselves attractive are less likely to wear a mask because the mask makes it more difficult for them to make a good impression to others. The study was based on 244 people interviewing for jobs. It was discovered that narcissist felt they would appear less attractive. The best way they felt to get a job was to spread the virus. The study did not account for politics of the participants.

I have found quite the opposite to be true. Beautiful people are more likely to wear masks because they care about others. The selfish and narcissistic are the ones who care about no one but themselves. That level of mask less ugliness is impossible to cover with make up.

Another study done more than a year ago at Cardiff University, found that masks make people appear more attractive since they focus attention on the eyes. The first part of the research was carried out in February 2021 by which time the much of the population had become used to wearing masks. Forty-three women were asked to rate on a scale of one to 10 the attractiveness of men with and without a mask. Masked men were found to be more attractive.

The World Health Organization (WHO) continues to recommend the use of masks given the current spread of the COVID-19 globally. Masks should be used as part of a comprehensive strategy of measures to suppress transmission and save lives.

Beautiful people continue to wear masks.

Wash your hands so you don’t burn to death!

COVID is airborne and can travel much further than 6 feet. At the start of the pandemic people were wiping down their groceries and washing hands incessantly. Washing your hands is important, but it is useless if you go out in public without a mask. Breathing COVID is what makes you sick. A face mask is also a good way to keep you from touching your face.  People touch their face over 2ooo times a day. Touching surfaces is less likely to get you infected. Despite this I still carry a small vile of sanitizer in my pocket and use it on occasion when in public.

COVID is airborne. The virus has been allowed to spread unchecked around the world. It is here to stay. The best way to stay healthy is to avoid breathing the air that others have exhaled. Airborne transmission is elusive since you can not see yourself become infected. You don’t need to be in the same room as a sick person to contract an airborne disease.

For much of the pandemic the CDC was promoting the idea that 6 feet of distance would protect you from being infected. The virus can remain airborne for much further than 6 feet. Since I have started going out in public I work with the idea of maintaining 22 feet of distance from others when possible. If closer than 22 feet I will be masked indoors or out. This has worked so far.

If someone coughs in a bathroom and then you enter, you could be infected. This makes it possible for airborne diseases to infect larger numbers of people and more difficult to determine the causes due to a lack of person-to-person contact. The virus can remain airborne from minutes to hours.

I can’t handle wildfires on top of everything else right now!

Conspiracy theories help people believe they can make sense of the pandemic disaster that is the ongoing. We are in the 4th year of the pandemic and conspiracy theories still abound. On February 26, 2023, The United States Energy Department released a report that acknowledged that there was low confidence that the virus originated in the Wuhan Virology lab. There is still not enough evidence to state if the virus had a lab origin or spread from an animal to humans. Regardless this has now been accepted as gospel truth by conspiracy theorists that the virus was a biological weapon developed in a lab. The same people who believe it is a biological weapon however refuse to wear a mask of filtrate indoor air. This report which has not been made public, had caused COVID minimizes to crawl out of the floor boards.

Misinformation spreads much faster than the virus. Chinese social media has come up with the theory that the United States developed to Corona virus and then released it in Wuhan to frame China. A pro-China you tuber wrote, wrote on Twitter. “I can now announce, with ‘low confidence,’ that the COVID pandemic began as a leak from Hunter Biden’s laptop.” Such conspiracy theories would be funny if so many ignorant people didn’t take them a face value.

Conspiracy theories are related in that people believe there is one malicious master conspiracy. What makes conspiracy theories most successful it the idea malicious purposes and secretive actions. Facts , corroborating evidence or scientific research are not important. The conspiracy theory that 5G technology could harm people existed before the pandemic. But once influencers said that the 5G towers spread the virus the insane theory went viral like wildfire.

Governments like the United States, the U.K. and Sweden let the coronavirus rip through their populations with the hope that they would reach herd immunity—the point at which enough people are immune to the virus that it can no longer spread. Herd immunity however is never going to happen with COVID-19 since the virus mutates so quickly finding ways to break through our immune response. The horrible side effect is that COVID instead destroys our immunity making everyone who is infected more vulnerable to multiple COVID infections and other pathogens as well.

In February 2023, the CDC quietly added a paragraph to their website about the destructive side effects of multiple infections with COVID… “‘Emerging evidence suggests that severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2),the virus that causes COVID-19 can have lasting effects on nearly every organ and organ system of the body weeks, months, and potentially years after infection. Documented serious post-COVID-19 conditions include cardiovascular, pulmonary, neurological, renal, endocrine, hematological, and gastrointestinal complications, as well as death.”

Government policy related to public health seems to be to deny, minimize, and then let it out on the sly, after the fact. It took the CDC years to acknowledge that COVID is an airborne virus that can stay suspended in the air for much further than 6 feet. Each public health talking head that I have been following has been infected by COVID because they did not follow the simple public health protocols that they promoted.
