Title: Travel Sketching

Description:  Exploring the world becomes even more thrilling if you carry a sketchbook. Artists travel at a different pace than most tourists, by taking the time to sketch and truly look at the places they visit. This class will cover principles of composition, perspective and basic use of line and watercolor to quickly put travel memories on the sketch page. Sketching has become a hip analog way to discover the world.

Starting Supply List:

9 by 12 inch Spiral Bound Sketchbook (I use Stillman and Birn Beta) But any sketchbook works.

6B Ticonderoga pencil with eraser.

5B Micron pen.

Black, and brown  Prismacolor pencils

Windsor Newton Cottman watercolor Travel kit. (Any small watercolor kit will work).

¼ inch wide Kube Take wedge watercolor brush with water in the handle.

1 inch wedge sable watercolor brush for large washes.
