Corsets and Cuties Kick off the Holiday Season

Corsets and Cuties a Burlesque Cabaret will kickoff the season Sunday November 24, 2019 from 8pm to 10pm with a little teasing plus guest stars and treats from Premier Couples Superstore at Theater West End
(115 West 1st St., Sanford, Florida 32771.) Final touches are being added to costumes. The cuties always deliver their burlesque with a strong dose of humor and I consider thus the best way to kick off the season.

This sketch is from a rehearsal at the Venue. If you have not experienced the Cuties yet you are missing a treat. Lovely ladies and some not-so-gentle men sing, dance, and tastefully strip down for your entertainment pleasure! Whether you’re celebrating with the one you love or out on the prowl, the Cuties are ready for ya! You can be sure of a fantastic night out!

NOTE: The show is intended for adult audiences, as it contains adult content and nudity. So leave the little ones at home and get ready for a night of laugh out loud fun. I’ll be sketching in the back row, documenting this lively side of the Orlando Arts scene.

Corsets and Cuties: #Celebrate

Corsets and Cuties made their Fringe debut in 2014. Since then, the shows keep selling out. I first sketched them that year, and I have been following their entertaining antics ever since. The Fringe show opens with the jingle song of Premier Couples’ Superstore. What followed was a fun night of burlesque, mixed with singing prowess and comedy. There was some unexpected news that their aerialist had fallen recently at the pirate dinner theatre, so he would not be performing.



Veronica Paige did a hilarious and sensual routine in which she essentially made love to a delicious handful of carbs as she stripped, a Hawaiian Sweet Roll I believe. Her Rubenesque might not fit into many pencil thin fashions, but she put those thin girls to shame and looked beautiful. Black gloves and a flowing semi transparent robe made for some fine old-school burlesque.

Crumbcake Cutie did a hilarious routine in which she was baking a cake. Orlando Sentinel theater reporter Matt Palm was in  the audience, seated toward the back away from the crowd. Crumbcake strutted up to him once she had stripped down, and shook her bootie right in his face. He realized he was now the center of attention and gave her a playful pat on the butt, as it seemed she would not go away until he did.


Barbie Rhinestone gave a high energy routine in her polka dot dress. She radiated smiles. Nicki Jay performed to a Lady Ga Ga song and she moved with so much energy that I had to just stop for a bit and watch. I will figure out how to get that level of energy into a sketch someday. Pam seated next to me always jokes, “I always know when Nicki Jay is performing, because your brush stops moving and you just stare.”


Corsets and Cuties offered an amazing night of Burlesque. You never know what will happen. Super fun with a big side of sexy.

Corsets and Cuties has found a new home in Theater West End (115 West 1st St., Sanford, Florida 32771). Their next performance is Saturday, March 23, 2019 doors open at 9pm, and the showtime is at 10pm. Tickets are $18. A little song, a little dance, maybe a Cutie in your lap. Unexpected fun and surprises await!>

This sketch was done at the Venue when Violectric joined the troupe offering some amazing live violin music. Violectric is now performing out in Las Vegas with Wayne Newton.

Corsets and Cuties: A Burlesque Cabaret

4th Anniversary and Amateur Show is coming to The Venue (511 Virginia Dr, Orlando, Florida 32803) on August 17, 2018. The award-winning Corset and Cuties puts a fun twist on Burlesque combining singing and dancing talents with some outrageous humor. They are celebrating their 4th year at The Venue so they’re giving you a chance to join the troupe on stage! Have
you ever wanted to try burlesque? Think you have the what it takes? Want to
cheer on your friends? Any and all are welcome at this annual party and
the audience chooses the winner!

And, of course, they’ll have a few surprises in store for all of you with a Cuties twist! The rehearsal was a fun mix of leather and lace along with brandished blades and rainbow flowing dresses. This is always an awesome sketch opportunity for me though the clothes fly off fast so the money shot seldom makes it into my sketchbook.

Please note, the doors and the full bar is open at 9pm to get you in the mood. The Cuties are always more friendly to those with tips. The show starts at 10pm. The show, full of fun and frivolity is not for the faint at heart, but for those with a sense of humor and adventure!
